Beijing is Unforgettable!

Beijing is a historical metropolis in Northern China. And it is also the capital city of the People’s Republic of China. Beijing is a such massive city which has a population of nearly 20 million. As a city, Beijing borders Hebei Province to the north, west, south and for a small section in the east and Tianjing Municipality to the southeast. And these are the reasons that Beijing is recognised as the political, educational and culture center of the People’s Republic of China. The city also hosted 2008 Olympic Games.

There are few cities in the world besides Beijing have served as the political and cultural center of an area as immense as China for so long. The British Encyclopaedia describes it as “one of the greates cities in the world” and declares that the city has been an integral part of China’s history for centries. Beijing is renowned for its opulent palaces, temples, and huge stone walls and gates. Its art treasures and universities have long made the city a centre of culture and art in China.

“…the city remains an epicenter of tradition with the treasures of nearly 2,000 years as the imperial capital still on view—in the famed Forbidden City and in the city’s lush pavilions and gardens…” — National Geographic
